WILLIAMSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — Multiple Vehicle Accident
Williamson County, Illinois – On March 19, 2024, at 1653 hours, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the scene of a three vehicle head on accident on Illinois Route 148 near the Williamson/ Franklin County line.
Initial reports on scene indicate minor injuries to the vehicle occupants however, they were transported to area hospitals out of an abundance of caution.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is handling the crash which is an ongoing investigation.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Herrin Police Department, Herrin Fire Department, Illinois State Police, United EMS, Williamson County Fire, and multiple additional agencies assisted on scene.
The roadway was reopened at 1835 hours.
