Hutson on Highway 80 East going in the opposite direction. Hutson was known to have a suspended driver’s license. The deputy turned around to follow the vehicle to confirm the information when the suspect vehicle accelerated turning on to Todd Road in an attempt to illude being stopped. The deputy activated his emergency equipment, but the suspect vehicle continued to flee at a high rate of speed. Deputies lost contact with the vehicle in the area of Irvan Cobb Road. A warrant was obtained for Hutson’s arrest.

At approximately 11:30pm the same date deputies observed the same vehicle traveling inbound into Calloway County on Hardin-Wadesboro Road. It fled after they initiated their emergency equipment, not slowing at major intersections creating substantial risk to the public and to law enforcement. The suspect vehicle lost control in a curve and went into a field where a P.I.T.(Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver was initiated causing the suspect vehicle to become disabled. While taking Hutson into custody he resisted. One of the deputies sustained a broken finger during the altercation. He was lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
