TODD COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — On March 21, 2024, approximately 2129hrs, Deputy Derek Baumann attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.
The vehicle then sped off at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then crashed near Pond River Rd. and Stokes Chapel Rd.
The driver then fled on foot. The driver was caught and identified as Robert Morgan of Elkton, Kentucky.
A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. Deputy Baumann located Crystal methamphetamine and marijuana inside the vehicle.
Morgan Was charged with fleeing and evading, fleeing and evading on foot, possession of a meth 2nd Offense, Resisting arrest, criminal mischief, wanton endangerment and several other offenses.
