MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) —
The McCracken County Fiscal Court is excited to share that preparations are underway for the creation of a commemorative book celebrating the approaching 200th Anniversary of McCracken County.
This high-quality coffee table book will offer an in-depth narrative tracing the rich history of the region from its inception in 1825 to the present day. It will feature a wealth of photographs and illustrations, all elegantly bound within a luxurious hardbound leatherette cover adorned with gold embossed artwork.
Overseen by the Bicentennial History Book Committee, comprised of esteemed local librarians, historians, and county officials, this project aims to encapsulate the essence of McCracken County’s journey over two centuries.
Judge Executive Craig Clymer remarked, “As we approach our county’s bicentennial, it’s a fitting moment to reflect on the pivotal events, challenges, and cultural tapestry that have shaped our community. This book will serve as a timeless source of reflection and inspiration for generations to come.”
Community members are encouraged to contribute to this historic endeavor by sharing their photographs and stories for consideration by the Bicentennial History Book Committee.
Informational brochures detailing the project will soon be available countywide, offering insights into how individuals can get involved.
The publication of the book is entrusted to Acclaim Press, renowned for their expertise in crafting community histories and trade publications. Further details about the book, including ordering options, can be found on the Acclaim Press website: www.acclaimpress.com.
