Pennyrile Electric to replace critical utility pole
PADUCAH, Ky. (March 22, 2024) – Pennyrile Electric plans a daytime work zone lane restriction on KY 139/Jefferson Street in Downtown Cadiz on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
This work zone lane restriction is to allow a critical utility pole that carries multiple power and communications lines to be replaced at the rear of the Trigg County Court House. The work zone lane restriction is along KY 139/Jefferson Street near the Monroe Street intersection at KY 139 mile point 16.95.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers from 7 a.m., CDT, to 4 p.m., Wednesday. Significant delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work. Commercial trucks should avoid this work zone.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and utility personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
