Work to take about one week to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (March 26, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction along the Interstate 24 Downtown Business Loop/U.S. 60 in downtown Paducah starting Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Motorists should be alert for work zone lane restrictions along the I-24 Business Loop and U.S. 60 at the Broadway intersections with 3rd Street and 4th Street in Paducah. The contractor will be painting traffic signal poles, bases, and support arms.
Motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic as they approach Broadway on the northbound one-way section of 3rd Street and southbound section of 4th Street. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
The work is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting.
