Hopkinsville, Kentucky (NewsFirst) — On April 3, 2024, officers were conducting early morning business checks and discovered that a local business had damage to a window. Officers cleared the building and the manager of the business confirmed that a large sum of money was stolen.

Our officers successfully identified the suspect as Dedrick Soles and launched a thorough investigation. Soles was apprehended and arrested for Burglary 3rd Degree after extensive questioning and investigative efforts.

During a search of Soles’ residence, a firearm and illicit drugs were uncovered in his bedroom. Soles is a convicted felon and was charged with Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon and was found to be in possession of illicit drugs in his bedroom.

Furthermore, a second individual, Shayla Neal, was cited in connection to the burglary. Neal was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (Complicity) for acting as a lookout while Soles committed the crime.
