Farmington, Kentucky (NewsFirst) — On April 7th, 2024, at approximately 2:10 AM, Deputy Garret Clark conducted a traffic stop on KY-121 near Farmington. The vehicle was operated by Wayne Ward, 34 of Farmington. Ward displayed signs of impairment and through an investigation was arrested for DUI. A vehicle search was conducted, and deputies located a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, a loaded firearm, drug paraphernalia and other narcotics.

While attempting to arrest Ward, Ward resisted arrest but was able to be taken into custody. Ward was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree – Cocaine, Resisting Arrest, DUI 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana and traffic offenses.

Deputy Clark was assisted by KSP Trooper Matthew Fleming and Deputy Austin Caldwell.

Ward was transported to the Marshall County Jail to be lodged by Graves County Jail staff.
