Marshall County, Kentucky (NewsFirst) — At approximately 12:48 Saturday April 13 2024 Marshall County Rescue Squad was paged out for a boat that was believed to be taking on water next to the spill gates.
The 911 call was placed by a wife that had been talking to her husband that was participating in an online fishing tournament. He told her that boat was taking on water and she lost contact.
Upon the page rescue swiftly went into action and deployed a single vessel for Rescue. Upon finding the gentleman in distress they were able to get him upon our boat and safely transfer him to shore.
Always remember if this type of thing is happening to your vessel immediately call 911 so that rescue will be able to get into action as quickly as possible!!
The rescue squad was grateful for the results of today’s rescue.
