Murray, Kentucky (NewsFirst) — On Monday, 4/22/24, around 1:45 PM, officers with the Murray Police Department responded to the northwest area of Murray in response to the theft of packages that had been delivered. Officers conducted an investigation into the matter which revealed evidence of multiple thefts of packages from individuals’ porches as well as attempts to obscure evidence. As a result of this investigation, Channer Smith (21) of Murray, KY and Keonte Kendall (19) of Clarksville, TN were both charged with 5 counts of Theft of Mail Matter and 3 counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both Mr. Smither and Mr. Kendall were arrested and lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
