Christian County Sheriff’s Office Executes Search Warrant, Arrests Suspect in Narcotics Investigation

Hopkinsville, KY – On April 23, 2024, deputies and detectives with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Hillside Terrace, in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the search, law enforcement officials discovered a significant number of narcotics, including suspected Fentanyl, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, and Percocet. The narcotics were found in clear Ziploc-style baggies, and a large amount of currency and two handguns were also seized from the residence.

The suspect, 56-year-old Mark Joiner of Hopkinsville, was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

– Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License

– Trafficking in Controlled Substances (Fentanyl), 1st Offense (Enhancement)

– Trafficking in Controlled Substances (Opiates), 1st Degree, 1st Offense (>= 10 Drug Units) (Enhancement)

– Trafficking in Controlled Substances (Drug Unspecified), 1st Degree, 1st Offense (>= 10 Drug Units) (Enhancement)

Joiner was arrested and charged following a post-Miranda interview, during which he identified the narcotics and provided information on their intended sale.

All seized items have been placed into evidence. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is committed to combating the illegal drug trade and ensuring the safety of all Christian County residents.
