ATMOS Energy to replace gas line

PADUCAH, Ky. (April 30, 2024) –  ATMOS Energy plans a daytime closure along KY 139/Jefferson Street in Downtown Cadiz today and Wednesday, April 30 and May 1, 2024.

This closure of KY 139 is to allow a gas line to be replaced at the rear of the Trigg County Court House.  The closure is along KY 139/Jefferson Street between Court Street and Marion Street near KY 139 mile point 16.95.

The roadway at this site is expected to be closed from 8 a.m., to 5 p.m., each day.  Once the gas line is replaced, the area will be backfilled with gravel.  A crew is expected to return to the site in about a week to allow concrete to be placed over the excavation.

There is no marked detour.  Passenger vehicles may self-detour via side streets.  Commercial trucks should seek an approved state route appropriate to gross weight.
