PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) — Deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision with possible injuries Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, at approximately 1605 hours, at the 1900 block of Old Said Road.
According to authorities, Dalton Quertermous, 29, of Paducah, KY, was operating a Black 2018 Ford F-150 outbound on Old Said Road. The vehicle, hauling a trailer, had shifted within his lane to accommodate oncoming traffic, investigators determined. However, the F-150 veered off the right shoulder of the roadway near the 1900 block of Old Said Road. Quertermous attempted to regain control but collided with a tree in the passenger door area of his vehicle.
The collision resulted in damage to the F-150, the trailer, and the lawn mowers being transported. Mercy Regional EMS responded to the scene and assessed Kaden Quertermous, a juvenile male passenger, for non-incapacitating injuries. Kaden Quertermous reported no injuries, and further medical treatment was declined by his parents.
The roadway was restricted to one lane for approximately ninety minutes.
