Shoulder work and paving from 0.0mm to 1.8mm near Fulton
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 2, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane and 13 ft. load width restriction along the Purchase Parkway immediately north of the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line starting Monday, May 6, 2024.
This work zone runs along the Purchase Parkway from mile point 0.0 extending northward to mile point 1.8 at Fulton. The contractor will reinforce shoulders, perform bridge maintenance, as well as mill and pave along this section of the parkway.
Starting Wednesday, May 8, northbound traffic will be restricted to a maximum 13 ft. Load width due to work on the KY 116/State Line Road overpass immediately at the state line.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
This work zone connects to a lengthy work zone that runs from the 2mm to the 21mm along the Purchase Parkway.
