Restriction between 9th Street and 7th Street until further notice
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 2, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has established a work zone lane restriction along U.S. 45/Kentucky Avenue in Downtown Paducah.
The inbound lanes of U.S. 45-Business/Kentucky Avenue are restricted between 9th Street and 7th Street due to a void under the roadway near underground utility lines. This is in the 800 Block of Kentucky Avenue eastbound near the AT&T Building and Grace Episcopal Church.
AT&T and KYTC personnel will be checking under the roadway to determine the cause of the void and develop a repair plan.
All eastbound traffic on Kentucky Avenue at this site is moved to the left-hand or passing lane.
This work zone will be in place until further notice.
Some delays are possible in this work zone during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate repairs.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and utility personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
KYTC District 1 and AT&T will attempt to provide timely updates as the work progresses.
