Work to take about six weeks to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 28, 2024) – A contractor for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) plans milling and paving along U.S. 45 immediately north of the U.S. 45 Ohio River “Brookport” Bridge starting this week.
Commuters who regularly cross the Brookport bridge should be prepared to encounter a flagger on the Kentucky end of the bridge from time to time as the IDOT contractor is milling and paving immediately off the end of the bridge in Illinois.
The milling and paving project in Illinois runs along U.S. 45 from the bridge through Brookport to near the Interstate 24 interchange.
The milling and paving project in Illinois is expected to take about six weeks to complete.
