MAYFIELD, Ky. – Two Graves County Sheriff’s deputies will be promoted to sergeant positions in the patrol division effective July 1.

Deputies Ben Doran and Garrett Clark were selected for the promotions after an interview board made recommendations to the sheriff. Their knowledge of policies and procedures, work ethic, and peer reviews were carefully considered. Both men were noted for their strong moral character.

Deputy Doran, a lifelong Graves County resident who lives in the southern portion of the county with his family, previously worked at the Graves County Jail and served as a youth pastor at a local church.

Deputy Clark, also a native of Graves County, resides in the southern part of the county with his wife. Before joining the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, he worked as a trooper with the Kentucky State Police.

Both men are graduates of Graves County High School. They look forward to serving the residents of Graves County in their new roles.
