PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) — On June 7 at approximately 6:02 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Malibu on Valley Street for a traffic violation.

During the stop, a front seat passenger, identified as Dakota Walden, was found to be in possession of 6 grams of marijuana, 17 grams of methamphetamine, and more than 140 Xanax pills.

Walden, 26, of Paducah, was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail. At the time of his arrest, Walden was out on parole for prior drug trafficking charges.

He faces charges of possession of marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense (methamphetamine) greater than 2 grams, and trafficking in a controlled substance 3rd degree 2nd offense greater than 20 dosage units.
