BENTON, Ky. (News First) – The Play in the Park Summer Fun Series began with a bang on Monday as Superhero Day brought joy and excitement to children and families at Benton City Park. The event, organized by the Marshall County Parks and Recreation Department, saw a large turnout, with many dressed as their favorite superheroes.
A special thank you goes to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and local first responders, whose presence and participation helped make the day a success. Kids had the chance to interact with officers and explore emergency vehicles, adding an educational element to the festivities.
“Seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces and the community come together is what this series is all about.”
The Play in the Park Summer Fun Series will continue throughout the summer, featuring different themed days to engage and entertain local families. For more information and a schedule of events, visit the Marshall County Parks and Recreation Department’s website.
