MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (News First) – The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a dump truck at the intersection of Husband Road and Old Husband Road on Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation revealed that Christopher Samples, 43, of Lowes, Kentucky, was driving a 2020 Mac dump truck northbound on Husband Road. Marco Delgado, 27, of Calvert City, Kentucky, was operating a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Old Husband Road.
The motorcycle entered the path of the northbound dump truck on Husband Road. Delgado sustained serious and incapacitating injuries and was transferred to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.
Assistance at the scene was provided by Mercy Regional Ambulance, Reidland-Farley Fire Department, McCracken County DES, Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, and Lent’s Towing.
