Murray, KY – On June 15, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., deputies were notified by Murray City Police of a vehicle refusing to stop for officers in the area of Main Street and 15th Street. Upon deputies’ arrival, the suspect vehicle continued to flee. The pursuit extended through multiple roads and fields, at times nearly striking deputies.

The chase concluded in the Canterbury subdivision, where the vehicle was stopped and the driver taken into custody. Multiple Calloway County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were damaged during the incident; however, no injuries were reported.

The driver, identified as Christian J. Allen, 23, of Puryear, Tenn., was found to have a felony warrant issued by Henry County, Tenn. Allen faces several charges, including:

  • Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Class D felony)
  • Criminal Mischief 1st Degree (Class D felony)
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (Class D felony)
  • Assault 1st Degree-Attempted (Class C felony)
  • Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree
  • Various Traffic Violations
