Intermittent work zone lane restrictions from 71.7mm to I-24
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 18, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a night work zone along Interstate 69 in Lyon County starting Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
The contractor plans a moving work zone with intermittent lane restrictions along I-69 between mile point 71.7 at the Lyon-Caldwell County line extending southward along the southbound lanes to the Interstate 24 Exit Interchange. The contractor then plans to reverse direction and work along the northbound lanes along this same section of I-69.
Motorists should be alert for a moving work zone along this section of I-69 to allow crack cleaning and sealing work. This work zone will be active between about 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., CDT, for about a week, whenever weather allows.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Once the work is completed along this section of I-69, the contractor plans night work along I-24 in Lyon County to be followed by day work along U.S. 641 in Crittenden County. Watch for an update on these locations as the schedule firms up.
Reynolds Sealing and Striping of Bowling Green is the prime contractor on this $207,530 crack sealing project.
