McCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (News First) — On April 12, 2024, McCracken County deputies conducted a welfare check on a man reportedly staying in his car on the KOW. The man was identified as Ronald Sulik, 54, of Doe Run, Missouri. During the investigation, deputies discovered Sulik was on the Missouri sex offender registry. Deputies informed Sulik of the requirement to register in Kentucky if he intended to stay. Sulik stated he would return to Missouri.

In the following days, deputies observed Sulik in the same area. Corporal Tyler Davis opened an investigation and, after consulting with Probation and Parole, found that Sulik had not registered in Kentucky. Evidence indicated that Sulik had not returned to Missouri and was living in Kentucky. Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Sulik.

On June 19, 2024, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Sulik was located at a residence on County Line Road and arrested. He was taken to McCracken County Regional Jail. Sulik faces charges of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registry, a Class D felony.
