Culvert replacement to take about 3 weeks to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure of KY 795/Scale Road in Marshall County starting Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
KY 795/Scale Road will be closed at mile point 4.3 to replace a culvert. This is along KY 795/Scale Road between Milliken Mill Lane and Maple Hill Church of Christ, just less than a mile south of KY 782/Salyer Creek Road.
The roadway at this worksite is expected to close promptly at 7 a.m., CDT, Tuesday. KY 795/Scale Road is expected to remain closed until Wednesday, July 3.
There will be no marked detour. Motorists may self-detour via U.S. 641, U.S. 68, and KY 782.
Message boards are in place to alert the public to the closure location immediately south of Milliken Mill Lane.
KYTC District 1 and the Marshall County Highway Maintenance Crew will attempt to provide timely updates should the work be completed earlier than expected.
