Erosion work and brush cutting planned
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 24, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction along Interstate 24 between Exit 11 and the Clarks River Bridge at mile point 13.5 starting Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter an eastbound work zone on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a westbound work zone on Thursday and Friday to allow erosion mitigation work and brush cutting along this section.
This work zone will be active from 7:30 a.m., to approximately 3 p.m., CDT, each day.
Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach this work zone. All traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
