On 07/21/2024, Austin Roberts (20) of Benton KY, was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place and disorderly conduct 2nd degree. Residents of JB Copeland Road had requested law enforcement because Roberts was out of control, screaming profanities and getting in the roadway.
On 07/19/2024, Taylor Perry (30) of Evansville IN, was arrested when deputies stopped the vehicle Perry was operating on US 68E for operating the vehicle with no headlights. It was discovered that Perry had an outstanding bench warrant issued out of Daviess District court for the charge of failure to pay court costs. Perry was also charged with possession of marijuana and failure to illuminate head lights.
On 07/19/2024, Marcus Morris (66) of Benton KY, was served an indictment summons for the charge of strangulation 2nd degree. Case was investigated by the Marshall County Sheriff’s office.
On 07/21/2024, Julie Moryl (43) of Benton KY, was arrested and served an indictment warrant for the charge of unlawful transaction with a minor 3rd degree and unlawful transaction of a minor 2nd degree. Warrant was issued out of Marshall Circuit Court. A search warrant was executed on Moryl’s residence on US 68E and deputies located drugs and drug paraphernalia. Moryl was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), endangering the welfare of a minor, trafficking in marijuana 1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school. Once in the jail, jail staff located more drugs and drug paraphernalia on Moryl. Moryl was charged possession of controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine) and possession of controlled substance 3rd degree.
On 07/23/2024, Christopher Floss (46) of Paducah KY, was arrested when the vehicle he was operating was stopped on Aurora Hwy. Floss was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 2nd offense and reckless driving.
On 07/23/2024, Wendy Garnett (46) of Paducah KY, was arrested and served a bench warrant issued out of Livingston District Court for failure to appear.
On 07/23/24, Kelvin Ham (54) of Benton KY, was served an indictment warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit Court for the charges of violation of KY EPO/DVO, Menacing, public intoxication and wanton endangerment 1st degree. Ham was also served a second indictment warrant charging him with violation of a KY EPO/DVO, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance not in proper container and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (opiates).
On 07/23/2024, John Tillman (52) of Danville KY, was arrested on an indictment warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit court for the charge of burglary 1st degree, terroristic threatening 3rd degree, menacing, unlawful imprisonment 1st degree, operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st offense, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and criminal mischief 3rd degree.
On 07/22/2024, Cassandra Curry (35) of Benton KY, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure toappear.
On 07/22/2024, Paul Jason Fleet (48) of Paducah KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit Court for the charge of probation violation.
On 07/23/2024, Juan Torrez (24) of unknown, was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place when he was located walking across the street in Benton in an unsteady gait.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Calloway County Sheriff’s Office worked jointly to arrest several for drug related crimes over the past weekend. These arrests were the results of joint investigations taking place over the last several months. (Some arrests were previously reported in another post).
07/18/2024, Bobby Williams (49) of Benton KY, was arrested and served two indictment warrants for drug trafficking 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), 2nd or greater offense (opiates).
07/19/2024, Shawn Davis (49) of Hardin KY, was arrested for reckless driving, fleeing or evading police 1st degree (motor vehicle), fleeing or evading police 2nd degree (on foot). Davis was also served an indictment warrant for conspiracy to traffic in controlled substance 1st offense and persistent felony offender 1.
07/20/2024, Joshua Dehaven (46) of Benton KY, was located walking on 641 N. Dehaven had an outstanding arrest warrant and was detained. Dehaven was arrested on an indictment warrant for trafficking in a controlled substance1st offense (methamphetamine). Dehaven was searched following his arrest and deputies located more methamphetamine, marijuana, baggies and smoking devices. Dehaven was charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
07/21/2024 during the early morning hours, deputies observed a vehicle pull into a church parking lot and got stopped to see why they were in the parking lot at that time of morning. Deputies found that the subjects were in possession of illegal drugs and arrested the driver, Bryan Spry (41) of Owensboro KY for trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd offense (> 2 gms of methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (opiates), possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substance not in proper container. The passenger in the vehicle, Cynthia Clements (33) of Ownesboro KY, was also arrested on trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (>2 gms of methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 07/21/2024 Deputies arrested Lisa Russell (49) of Calvert City KY on numerous warrants. One being an indictment warrant issued out of Graves Circuit court for the charge of possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine). There were three warrants issued out of Marshall County courts. One warrant was issued from Marshall Circuit court for probation violation, another was an indictment warrant for trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (>2 gms of Methamphetamine). The last warrant was issued out of Marshall District court for the charge of failure to appear.
On 7/19/24 a Narcotics Detective with the Calloway /Marshall county drug task force along with the Marshall County Sheriff’s office deputies was attempting to serve a felony indictment arrest warrant on a Shawn Davis at his residence on Captain Morgan Dr in Marshall County, while in the Pirates Cove area Davis was spotted operating a motor vehicle. Detective attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Davis. Davis fled from deputies in his vehicle traveling from Marshall County into Calloway County and returning back into Marshall County. Davis drove his vehicle into a wooded area in Marshall County and fled on foot. Marshall Co Sheriff’s Office K-9 was deployed and Davis was apprehended a short time later. Davis was served his indictment warrant for conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance 1st degree and persistent felony offender l. Davis was also charged with reckless driving, fleeing evading police 1st degree (vehicle), fleeing evading police 2nd degree (foot). Davis was out on bond for drug possession charges when this offense occurred.
On 07/18/2024, Bobby Williams (49) of Benton KY, was arrested on an indictment warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit Court. Williams was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine greater that 2 grams) and trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd or greater offense (opiates).
On 07/18/2024, Jessica Stamper (36) of Calvert City KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out of Marshall district court for the charge of theft of identity.
On 07/18/2024, Erica Ringstaff (31) of Paducah KY, was arrested on on an indictment warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit court for the charge of flagrant non support.
On 07/15/2024, Connie Ham (60) of Paducah KY, was arrested when the vehicle that she was operating was stopped on US 62 in Marshall County. K-9 indicated a presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. A search revealed methamphetamine and a glass smoking device. Ham was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine) 2nd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
07/14/2024, Nicholas Jarvis (41) of Madisonville KY, was arrested for being a fugitive from justice due to having an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Jarvis was also arrested on an indictment warrant for receiving stolen property $10,000 or more issued out of Marshall Circuit court.
On 07/12/2024, William Hayden (33) of Benton KY, was arrested on when deputies were called to a residence due to an altercation. Victim stated that Hayden had put his hand around their throat and cut of their airway. Hayden had also thrown an object at the victim striking the victim in the head. Hayden admitted to the above allegations and was lodged in the Marshall County Jail on the charges of strangulation 1st degree and assault 4th degree.
On 07/14/2024 deputies were assisting Calvert Police Department on a traffic stop of a golf cart that was observed being driven on a sidewalk in Calvert City. Levi Brown (18) of Calvert City KY, was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Another passenger of the golf cart, Ethan Wathen (18) of Calvert City, was also arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place. The driver of the golf cart was arrested by Calvert Police department.
On 07/11/2024, Kyle Graham (38) of Benton KY, was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place when deputies responded to Johnston Subdivision due to a disagreement with neighbors.
On 07/10/2024, Cedric Pounds (43) of Owensboro KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Daviess Circuit court for the charge of failure to appear.
On 07/13/2024, Kyle Nelson (44) of Benton KY, was arrested when the motorcycle he was operating was stopped on US 641 N in Marshall County. It was discovered that Nelson had a suspended license and no motorcycle license. Nelson was also charged with no insurance and other traffic offenses.
07/12/2024 The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision on US 68 West near Darnall Road at around 2:08 p.m. on July 12, 2024. Gedget Quigley, 50, of West Paducah, was driving a silver Nissan Pathfinder eastbound, and Mikael Smith, 73, of Benton, was driving a westbound orange Cadillac Fleetwood. Witnesses reported that Quigley’s vehicle drifted into the westbound lane for unknown reasons, resulting in a head-on collision with Smith’s vehicle. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, while Quigley was flown to an out-of-state hospital with incapacitating injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Possum Trot-Sharpe Fire Department, Marshall County Rescue Squad, and Marshall County Coroner’s Office. The incident remains under investigation.
07/09/2024, Kellie Young (44) of Paducah KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of McCracken district court for the charge of failure to appear.
On 07/09/2024, Dylan Clark (24) of Paducah KY, was arrested on 2 criminal complaint warrants issued out of Marshall District Court both for the charge of violation of conditions of release.
On 07/09/2024, Eric Pummer (36) of Benton KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit Court for the charge fraudulent use of a credit card after report of lost or stolen over $10,000.
On 07/10/2024, Ethan Schriner (29) of Calvert City, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out of Carlisle district court for the charge of violation of a KY EPO/DVO
On 07/07/2024, Nancy Reeves (62) of Benton KY, was arrested when deputies located her in a local hotel in possession of illegal substances. Reeves was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance 3rd degree and prescription controlled substances not in proper container.
On 07/07/2024, Angel White (47) of Benton KY, was arrested when the vehicle he was operating was stopped on US 62 in Marshall County. White was found to be under the influence and possession of illegal controlled substances. White was charged with no taillights, operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana.
On 07/07/2024, Brooklyn Bledsoe (18) of Benton KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out of Marshall District Court for the charge of assault 4th degree.
On 07/07/2024, Sharon McLean (29) of Gilbertsville KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Marshall District Court for the charge of failure to appear.
On 07/07/2024, deputies were called to a local hotel to assist medical units with a female who had locked herself in a bathroom and was alleged to be under the influence of alcohol. Female finally exited the restroom and was transported to the Marshall Co Emergency room. Once at the hospital, deputies were requested again due to Vickie Hess (56) of Jefferson OH, assaulting staff and causing a disturbance. Deputies tried to calm Hess down but was unsuccessful. Hess was arrested and restrained. Hess was able to get out of the restraints and was again restrained. Once cleared medically Hess was taken to the Marshall County Jail. Hess was charged with assault 3rd degree (EMS), alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, menacing and escape 3rd degree.
On 07/06/2024, Leonard Miller III (55) of Benton KY, was arrested when the vehicle he was operating was stopped on Corinth Rd. Miller was charged with no insurance, operating on a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 07/03/2024, Dillon Nicholas (25) of Gilbertsville KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Marshall District Court for the charge of failure to appear in court.
On 07/05/2024, Jacob “Drew” Does (39) of Gilbertsville KY, was arrested when deputies were called to the scene of a disturbance on Little Bear Hwy. Adult victim was transported to the hospital for the injuries sustained during the assault. Child victim who was also assaulted by Does was transported to another location. When deputies attempted to arrest Does he became violent and resisted deputies. Does attempted to assault deputies and once placed in police cruiser Does attempted to break the windows out of the police cruiser. Does was charged with assault 1st degree (domestic violence), assault 4th degree (child abuse), resisting arrest, terroristic threatening, criminal mischief 1st degree, endangering the welfare of a minor, criminal mischief 3rd degree and menacing. Does was out of custody on a personal recognizance bond for a pending criminal mischief 1st degree charge when he was arrested on the new charges.

07/02/2024, Jessica Stamper (36) of Calvert City KY, was arrested on 2 bench warrants issued out of Marshall Circuit Court for the charges of Probation Violation.
On 07/02/2024, David Cline (55) of Benton KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out Marshall District Court for the charge of terroristic threatening 3rd degree and harassing communications.
On June 27, 2024, the Kentucky State Police Post 1 began investigating the death of Jesse Moore, 44 years old of Benton, KY. Moore was found to be deceased by investigators at his residence in the Possum Trot area of Marshall County and foul play is suspected. Information leading to the arrest or indictment of the individual or individuals involved may result in a reward of $1,000. On 06/30/2024, Murray Akers (43) of Mayfield KY, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Graves County for the charge of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine).
On 06/30/2024, Steven Warfield (47) of Eddyville KY, was arrested when the vehicle he was operating was stopped on I24 in Marshall County. Warfield was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license 2nd offense.
On 06/28/2024, Joshua Williams (43) of Benton KY, was arrested for being a fugitive from justice due to being wanted in the state of TN. Warrant in TN was for the charge of aggravated stalking.
On 06/29/2024, Christie Stafford (50) of Hardin KY, was arrested when the vehicle she was operating was stopped on US 68 E in Marshall County. Stafford was arrested for the charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense.
On 07/01/2024, Jody Rodger (29) of Hardin KY, was arrested on 2 bench warrants issued out of Marshall district court both for the charges of failure to appear, when the vehicle he was operating was stopped on Old Olive Road in Marshall County. Rodgers was also arrested for operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license, no insurance and other traffic offenses.
On 07/01/2024, Joshua Brock (29) of Fulton KY, was arrested on bench warrant issued out of Graves District Court for the charge of contempt of court. Brock was also arrested for violation of KY EPO/DVO.

On 07/01/2024, Anthony Finley (51) of Paducah KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant for the charges of strangulation 1st degree, assault 1st degree and criminal mischief 1st degree.
NEWS RELEASE: Kentucky State Police Investigating Murder in Marshall County
Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 received a call at approximately 8:30pm CT on June 27th from the US Forestry Service regarding an abandoned vehicle that was located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Troopers were requested to conduct a welfare check on the individual who was known to regularly operate the vehicle, Jesse Moore, 44 years old of Benton, KY.
Troopers responeded to a residence in the Possom Trot area of Marshall County to attempt to make contact with Jesse Moore. When they arrived at the residence, they located a deceased male who appeared to have suffered from a gunshot wound.
An autopsy was conducted on June 29th, during which the identity of the deceased male was confirmed to be Jesse Moore. Foul play is suspected in the death of Jesse Moore and the investigation remains ongoing by Post 1 detectives.
