POSSUM TROT, Ky. (News First) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 received a call at approximately 8:30pm CT on June 27th from the US Forestry Service regarding an abandoned vehicle that was located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Troopers were requested to conduct a welfare check on the individual who was known to regularly operate the vehicle, Jesse Moore, 44 years old of Benton, KY.
Troopers responeded to a residence in the Possom Trot area of Marshall County to attempt to make contact with Jesse Moore. When they arrived at the residence, they located a deceased male who appeared to have suffered from a gunshot wound.
An autopsy was conducted on June 29th, during which the identity of the deceased male was confirmed to be Jesse Moore. Foul play is suspected in the death of Jesse Moore and the investigation remains ongoing by Post 1 detectives.
