July 1, 2024 – The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3051 Old Husbands Road at Powersports Of America, for a vehicle fire. James Wurth, 46 years old of Paducah, reported his vehicle suddenly caught fire while operating on the roadway. Wurth’s vehicle came to rest in a ditch on the south side of Powersports Of America. Wurth was transported to a local hospital for treatment of burns he received from the fire. Wurth was also cited for operating on a suspended operator’s license and no registration plates.

June 29, 2024 8:45 AM – Deputies were dispatched to Power Sports of America at 8:45 a.m. on June 29 to check on the welfare of a woman reportedly kicked out of a vehicle driven by her husband, Nathaniel Carlisle of North Carolina.

It was reported that Carlisle was possibly intoxicated. Deputies arrived and investigated, locating Carlisle parked at Youngbloods RV. Carlisle was found asleep behind the wheel with the vehicle running. Deputies learned that Carlisle’s wife had been in the vehicle earlier and recognized that Carlisle had been drinking. He began driving recklessly, nearly crashing several times on Interstate 24 as she begged him to let her out. Carlisle was given field sobriety tests, showed significant signs of impairment, and was arrested. He was logged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Charges: First-degree wanton endangerment, first offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (aggravated), and driving with an open alcohol beverage container.

June 29, 2024 1:40 AM – Deputies from the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department responded to a motorist assist on I-24 near the 12.5-mile marker westbound around 1:40 a.m. on June 29. They found Aaliyah Jones, 22, of Leadbetter, Kentucky, stranded with a flat tire after colliding with a guard rail. Jones was arrested for driving under the influence and other drug charges after deputies found she was under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of her vehicle uncovered a large quantity of Alprazolam and marijuana. Passenger Sean Conger, 27, of Paducah, was also arrested for public intoxication. Both were lodged in the McCracken Regional Jail.

On June 28th, 2024, at approximately 8:23PM, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Said Road for a single-vehicle rollover collision with possible injuries.

Through investigation, it was determined that Zachary Chester, 16 years old of Marshall County, was operating his vehicle westbound on Said Rd. His vehicle exited the roadway to the left, struck a tree, and overturned.

Zachary Chester and his passenger Kevin Chester, 48 years old of Marshall County, were transported to a local hospital by Mercy Regional EMS for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Reidland Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS, along with Lents and Bailey’s Towing.


June 27, 2024 – At approximately 1 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024, and again at 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, a male suspect forced entry into Vapors 4 U, located at 5320 Hinkleville Road, and stole vape items. The suspect, who was wearing clothing to conceal his identity, has a distinctive tattoo on the outside of his lower right calf.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from the public to identify this individual.
