Work zone active from 7 a.m., to 1 p.m., Wednesday
PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) – Jackson Purchase Energy plans a work zone lane restriction along U.S. 60 in Ballard County on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
This work zone lane restriction along U.S. 60 (Paducah Road) immediately west of the Kevil curves is to allow brush cutting along power lines adjacent to the highway right of way. This is along U.S. 60 between about the 13 and 14 mile marker near the Stafford Road intersection.
Jackson Purchase Energy anticipates a crew will be working in this area between LaCenter and Kevil from 7 a.m., CDT, to about 1 p.m., Wednesday.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Some minor delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and utility personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
