On July 4, 2024, around 10 p.m., officers with the Murray Police Department responded to a call of a reckless driver. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, the driver, Brandon Partee, 26, of Humboldt, Tennessee, drove his vehicle backward towards the officers and quickly fled the scene.
Officers searched the area and found that Partee had struck a house with his vehicle. He then fled from officers on foot. As officers attempted to take Partee into custody, he resisted and knocked a firearm out of one of the officer’s hands. Partee was successfully taken into custody.
Upon further investigation, Partee was arrested and lodged in the Calloway County Jail on the following charges:
- Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree on Foot
- Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree Motor Vehicle
- Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol
- Resisting Arrest
- Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
- Criminal Mischief 1st Degree
- Leaving the Scene of an Accident-Failure to Render Aid
- Disarming a Peace Officer
- Disregarding a Traffic Control Device
