Effective July 15, 2024, vehicle inspection fees in Kentucky will increase as per Kentucky House Bill 833 and KRS 186A.115. The new fees are as follows:

  • Inspection at Courthouse: $15.00
  • Offsite Inspection: $35.00

On July 10, 2024, the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 100 block of KY 80 East. Concerned citizens had reported Timothy Moore’s drug use. During a welfare check at the residence, probable cause for the search warrant was obtained. Chief Deputy Ben Green applied for and was granted the search warrant. Trooper Eric West found a used syringe in the toilet and a burnt spoon with methamphetamine residue in the trash.

Moore, on probation after a 2023 conviction for possession of methamphetamine, is set for a probation review on July 18, 2024. He was court-ordered to complete 300 hours of community service, enroll in drug rehab classes, and submit to random drug screens, none of which he has completed. Moore was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine (second offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence. He is lodged at the Ballard County Jail. Moore is considered innocent until proven guilty.

July 10, 2024 – The Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office is currently working a 2 vehicle collision on US 62 at the KY 1820 intersection. A 2007 Peterbuilt, and trailer were traveling eastbound when it dropped off the shoulder and collided with a 1999 Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma was parked and left by the owner after the vehicle got a flat tire, earlier this morning. Thankfully the pickup truck was unoccupied. The semi truck and trailer overturned down an embankment. The driver was not injured. If you can avoid the area, please do.

July 08, 2024 – BALLARD COUNTY, Ky. — Misty Hodges, 42, is wanted with 13 active warrants for her arrest. Her last known address was in La Center, Ky. Hodges has warrants out of Ballard, Carlisle, Marshall and McCracken counties. All warrants are bench warrants for either theft by deception – cold checks, or probation violations. Until recently, Hodges was working at a grocery store in La Center. She is known to frequent Ballard, Carlisle, Marshall and McCracken counties.
