On Tuesday, July 16th, Officers with the Mayfield Police Department responded to an area business for an altercation in the parking lot. As Officers arrived, it was learned that 44-year-old David Hoffman had an active arrest warrant out of Graves County. Hoffman was placed under arrest without incident, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. Hoffman was lodged in the Marshall County Jail, charged with Failure to Appear in Graves County District Court. 

On Tuesday, July 16th, an Officer with the Mayfield Police Department responded to the Graves County Probation & Parole Office to serve an arrest warrant. Felipe Sanchez-Tapia was placed under arrest without incident. Sanchez-Tapia was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and served a bench warrant out of Carlisle County for Failure to Appear in Carlisle County District Court. 

On Monday, July 15th, an Officer with the Mayfield Police Department responded to a local business for a shoplifter. Upon the Officer’s arrival, it was learned that 36-year-old Joshua Crick, of Paducah, had an active arrest warrant. Crick was placed under arrest on the warrant. An investigation into the shoplifting complaint showed that Crick had concealed merchandise on his person without paying. Crick was previously trespassed from all properties belonging to the retail chain. Crick was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. Crick was lodged in the Calloway County Jail charged with the new charge of Burglary 3rd. Crick was also served an arrest warrant out of Calloway County for Flagrant Non-Support and a criminal summons out of McCracken County for Theft by Unlawful Taking (Shoplifting) Under $500. 

On 07/13/2024, Mayfield Police Officers arrested Chet Olson, age 35 of Mayfield, after Officers were dispatched to a residence on West Water Street for a suspicious incident. Once Officer’s arrived, they were told that someone had been trying to get into the residence. While Officers were checking the area, they located Chet Olson on the property. Mr. Olson was arrested, and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree( Methamphetamine) , Possession of a Control Substance 3rd Degree (Drug Unspecified) and Public Intoxication – Control Substance (Excludes Alcohol). Mr. Olson was taken to the Restrict Custody Center. He was later transferred to Marshall County Jail.

On 7-11-2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested Jennifer Allen, age 39 of Oak Grove, on an arrest warrant.  Allen was lodged at the Christian County Jail on the charge of Failure To Appear. 

On 07/10/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer observed a silver Chevrolet Silverado truck driving recklessly in a business parking lot.  The Officer made contact with the operator, Isaiah Wiggins, age 23 of Sedalia.  Wiggins was placed under arrest, and charged with Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Alcohol- 1st Offense and Reckless Driving.  Wiggins was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to CallowayCounty.

On 07/10/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer, assisted by the Graves County Sheriff’s Department, served an arrest warrant on Regina Sellars, age 51 of Mayfield.  Sellars was placed under arrest, and charged with Parole Violation.  Sellars was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Marshall County.

On 07/07/2024, Nancy Reeves (62) of Benton KY, was arrested when deputies located her in a local hotel in possession of illegal substances. Reeves was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance 3rd degree and prescription controlled substances not in proper container.

On 07/07/2024, Angel White (47) of Benton KY, was arrested when the vehicle he was operating was stopped on US 62 in Marshall County. White was found to be under the influence and possession of illegal controlled substances. White was charged with no taillights, operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana.

On 07/07/2024, Brooklyn Bledsoe (18) of Benton KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out of Marshall District Court for the charge of assault 4th degree.

On 07/07/2024, Sharon McLean (29) of Gilbertsville KY, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Marshall District Court for the charge of failure to appear.

On 07/07/2024, deputies were called to a local hotel to assist medical units with a female who had locked herself in a bathroom and was alleged to be under the influence of alcohol. Female finally exited the restroom and was transported to the Marshall Co Emergency room. Once at the hospital, deputies were requested again due to Vickie Hess (56) of Jefferson OH, assaulting staff and causing a disturbance. Deputies tried to calm Hess down but was unsuccessful. Hess was arrested and restrained. Hess was able to get out of the restraints and was again restrained. Once cleared medically Hess was taken to the Marshall County Jail. Hess was charged with assault 3rd degree (EMS), alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, menacing and escape 3rd degree.

On 07/06/2024, Leonard Miller III (55) of Benton KY, was arrested when the vehicle he was operating was stopped on Corinth Rd. Miller was charged with no insurance, operating on a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Monday, July 8th, an Officer with the Mayfield Police Department responded to a local business for shoplifters in the store. During the investigation, it was learned that 51-year-old Sherry Stone, of Mayfield, and 48-year-old Carlton Haymes, Nashville, TN, had previously been trespassed from the business, and were not allowed on the property. The couple was observed attempting to leave the store with merchandise they had not paid for. The couple was placed under arrest without incident, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. Both Stone and Haymes were lodged in the Fulton County Jail, charged with Burglary 3rd Degree.

On 07/05/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers responded to the hospital on a report of a stabbing.  Uniformed Officers responded, and began an investigation.  Officers thenwent to a residence where the suspect, Ajhari Parrott, age 18 of Mayfield, was located,and taken into custody.  Mr. Parrott was transported to the Mayfield Police Department where he was interviewed by a Detective.  Ajhari Parrott was subsequently placed under arrest, and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.  Parrott was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to the Marshall County Jail.

On 07/04/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer responded to a local gas station on a report of an intoxicated driver.  The Officer made contact with Mark Anthony Powell, age 30 of Mayfield.  The Officer’s observations and an investigation determined Mr. Powell to be under the influence.  Powell was placed under arrest, and charged with Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and/ or Substance- 1st Offense.  Powell was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to McCracken County.

On 07/03/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle.  Officers made contact with the victim, who reported that Mindy Isaacs had taken his vehicle without permission.  Officers were able to locate Mindy Isaacs, age 37 of Mayfield.  During the investigation the victim’s vehicle was located at the fairgrounds on fire.  The Mayfield Fire Department responded, and assisted the Mayfield Police Department.  Mindy Isaacs was placed under arrest, and charged with Unauthorized Useof Motor Vehicle 1st Offense, Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License, Failure to Notify Department of Transportation of Address Change, and Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition- $500 but Less Than $1,000.  Issacs was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Marshall County.

On 07/03/2024, Mayfield police responded to a theft call at a local apartment complex. Leonard Starks, 61, was found in possession of methamphetamine and arrested. He was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Starks was taken to the Graves County Restrictive Custody Center and then transferred to another facility.

On 07/03/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers responded to a residence on a report of a 911 hang-up call.  Officers made contact with the victim and JD Henley, age 55 of Mayfield.  After investigation, Mr. Henley was placed under arrest, and charged with Strangulation 1st degree.  Henley was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Calloway County.

On 07/02/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic assault.  Officers made contact with the victim.  Officers then located the suspect, Moises Hernandez, age 26 of Mayfield.  After investigation, Hernandez was placed under arrest, and charged with Strangulation 1st Degree and Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury.  Hernandez was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Calloway County.

On 06/28/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers received information of a male and female trespassing in a residence.  Officers also received information of illegal drugs being used by the squatters.  Officers went to the residence, and made contact with Jeffrey King, age 42 of Boaz, KY and Jodi Compau, age 31 of Mayfield.  Officers conducted a sweep of the residence, on the request of the owner, to make sure nobody else was inside.  During the protective sweep of the residence, evidence of illegal drugs were observed.  Officers secured the residence and all subjects involved.  A search warrant was sought, and later executed on the residence. Jeffrey King was placed under arrest, and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle- 1st Offense, Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License, Failure of Non-Owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance/ Securities- 1st Offense, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 3rd or Greater Offense (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jodi Compau was placed under arrest, and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jeffrey King and Jodi Compau were transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail.  Jeffrey King was lodged in Calloway County, and Jodi Compau was lodged in Marshall County.

On 06/27/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers responded to the area of a local restaurant on a report of an intoxicated male riding a bicycle.  Officers located Darryl Loggins, age 57 of Mayfield.  Loggins was placed under arrest, and charged with Operating Non-Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Intoxicants.  Loggins was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and was turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Calloway County.

On June 27 at 08:53 am, Mayfield Police Department Officers responded to the intersection of Backusburg Road and the Dick Castleman Bypass for a vehicle collision involving injury.   When Officers arrived on scene, both vehicles were observed on the Bypass with substantial damage. Through investigation and witness statements, it was determined that Gracie Litchfield, age 62 of Murray, was traveling West on KY 464/Backusburg Road operating a 2012 GMC Acadia. Also in the vehicle with Litchfield were Angie Kuhr, age 56 of Mayfield, and Roger Henson, age 38 of Mayfield. Approaching the Dick Castleman Bypass, Litchfield failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection. Litchfield then collided with a 2021 Mazda CX-5 that was being operated by Carla Williams, age 57 of Mayfield. Mayfield Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and assisted with medical needs of the vehicle occupants. Local towing services were contacted, and removed both vehicles from the roadway.  

On 06/27/2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested Charles Wilcox, age 66 of Mayfield, on an arrest warrant.  Wilcox turned himself in at the Graves County Restricted Custody Center on the charge of Probation Violation (For Felony Offense.)

On 06/26/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer served an arrest warrant on David Ross, age 61 of Mayfield.  Ross was placed under arrest, and charged with Bail Jumping 2nd Degree.  Ross was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Marshall County.

On June 22, 2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested 61-year-old James Stevens of Mayfield after he was found in the presence of the victim of a case in which he was criminally charged.  Stevens had been ordered in his pre-trial release in that case to have no contact or communication with the victim.  Stevens was charged with Violation of Conditions of Release, and lodged in an out of county jail.

On the morning of Saturday, June 22nd, Officers with the Mayfield Police Department responded to an address on Hillside Drive for a burglary in progress. The caller stated a man had forced his way inside her home, and had armed himself with a knife. The caller stated that she had armed herself with a handgun, and that the man then laid the knife down. Officers arrived, and took 23-year-old Damion Siddell into custody. Siddell was manifestly under the influence of an illegal substance. Siddell was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for medical clearance due to his level of intoxication. At the hospital, Siddell attempted to resist Officers, and to get away. Siddell was restrained, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. At the RC Center, as Deputy Jailers and a Mayfield Police Officer were moving Siddell from a Mayfield Police cruiser to a Graves County Jail transport vehicle, Siddell again lashed out, attempting to resist and flee. A Graves County Deputy Jailer was assaulted by Siddell, and the Graves County Jail transport vehicle was damaged, also by Siddell. The Deputy Jailer was treated on the scene by Mayfield Fire and EMS. Siddell was lodged in the McCracken County Jail, charged with:

  1. Burglary 1st Degree
  2. Public Intoxication on a Controlled Substance
  3. Two counts of Resisting Arrest
  4. Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree
  5. Assault 3rd Degree – Inmate Assault on Corrections Employee
  6. Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree
  7. Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree

Mayfield Police Department was assisted by the Graves County Jail, Graves County Sheriff’s Office, and McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 21st at approximately 1:23 pm, a traffic stop was conducted for disregarding the stop sign located at the intersection of South 1st Street and Douthitt Street. During the investigation, Courtney Amacher, age 26 of Bardwell, was located in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Amacher’s information was given to Kentucky State Police Dispatch, which advised that Amacher had an active arrest warrant out of Lyon County. Amacher was taken into custody, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center for booking. Amacher is charged with a Bench Warrant out of Lyon County for Contempt of Court.
