Four people have been arrested in Scott City for copper theft. Officers from the Scott City Police Department arrested Randall Hanstein, Tommy Kraft, Erin Glueck, and Ricky Hunter, all of Scott City, for stealing approximately three thousand feet of copper from Union Pacific Railroad property over several days, totaling $13 thousand. Investigators discovered the copper was sold at different recycling locations throughout Southeast Missouri. Hanstein and Hunter were each charged with stealing and damage to a critical infrastructure facility while Kraft and Glueck were charged with stealing. Hanstein is being held without bond while the others are being held with $40-$75 thousand bond each.
