A suspect is in custody after stealing a Missouri State Highway Patrol vehicle in Wayne County. Troopers were handling a stolen motorcycle case we brought to you yesterday when a suspect stole a Highway Patrol vehicle. Officers pursued the suspect and were able to stop the vehicle with spike strips in a wooded area of US Forest Service property in Wayne County. The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended. No other details about the suspect has been released at this time. The firearms from the patrol vehicle have been secured.
