MURRAY, Ky. — While investigating the theft of an electric bike, officers with the Murray Police Department gained information on its location. Upon arrival, the stolen e-bike was found to be in the possession of Tristan Rau, 19, of Murray, Ky. Further investigation led to the recovery of a second stolen e-bike.

For both thefts, Rau was charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking of a bicycle valued between $1,000 and $10,000 and one count of theft by unlawful taking of a bicycle valued between $500 and $1,000. Rau was arrested and lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
