On August 31st at 1:40 pm, Mayfield Police Department Officers responded to the 700 block of Delrose Drive in reference to the resident having an active warrant for her arrest. Uponarrival, contact was made at the front door with Nancy Richardson-Peals, age 64 of Mayfield. While speaking with Richardson-Peals, she was advised of the active warrant, and taken into custody without incident. Richardson-Peals was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center for booking. Richardson-Peals is charged with a Bench Warrant out of Fulton County for a Probation Violation regarding a previous felony offense. 

On August 31st at 1:50 pm, a Mayfield Police Department Officer responded to the 500 block of North 13th Street to assist a Graves County Jail employee on a home visit. While at the residence, suspected methamphetamine was located in plain view inside the home. The resident, Tommy West, age 66 of Mayfield, was taken into custody, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center for booking. West is charged with Possession of aControlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense. 

On 08/31/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers arrested Juan Perez Rojop, age 22 of Mayfield, pursuant to a traffic stop.  Rojop was placed under arrest, and charged with Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Alcohol- 1st Offense (Aggravated), Operating Vehicle With Expired Operator’s License, Failure To Produce Insurance Card and License To Be In Possession.  Rojop was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Marshall County.

On 08/29/2024 A Mayfield resident was arrested after an investigation revealed that an adult male was providing alcohol to and having inappropriate contact with a juvenile female. Mayfield Police Department Detectives located and identified the male as Zechariah Barger (age 31 of Mayfield).  Barger was interviewed, and made a confession to his criminal behavior.  

Barger was arrested, and charged with:

Unlawful Transaction With A Minor 1st Degree – Illegal Sex Act Under 18 Years of Age;

Use of A Minor (Under 18) in Sexual Performance;

Sodomy 3rd Degree; and

Unlawful Transaction With A Minor 3rd Degree.


On 08/30/2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested Pablo Garcia, age 19 of Mayfield, after Officers were flagged down for a domestic disturbance.  After investigation, Garcia was located at a residence where he was taken into custody.  He was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center on the charge of Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury.

On 08/28/2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested Jerry Henley, age 55 of Mayfield, on an indictment warrant out of Graves County.  Henley was also found to be in violation of a bond condition.  Henley was taken to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center on the charges of Strangulation 1st Degree (Domestic Violence Related) and Violation of Conditions of Release.

On 08/27/24, the Mayfield Police Department arrested Darren Carroll, age 36 of Mayfield, subsequent a traffic stop for expired registration plates.  Carroll had a suspended license, and was found to have a warrant.  Further investigation led to the seizure of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, cash, weigh scales, and a firearm.  Carroll was lodged at the Marshall County Jail on the charges of Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License, No Registration Plates, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon, Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense – (> or = 2 Grams Methamphetamine)(Firearm Enhanced), Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense – (> or = 4 Grams Cocaine)(Firearm Enhanced), Possession of Marijuana (Firearm Enhanced), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Firearm Enhanced), Failure to use Child Restraint Device in Vehicle, and Service of Parole Violation Warrant. 

On August 26, 2024 the Mayfield Police Department arrested 35-year-old Cody Underwood of Hickory on two warrants.  The first warrant was out of Graves County, and charged Underwood with Bail Jumping 2nd Degree.  The second warrant was out of Daviess County,and charged Underwood with Failure to Appear for the underlying charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 3rd or Greater Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug, and Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree.  He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.

On 8/23/24 at 8:17 PM, the Murray Police Department responded to a single vehicle non-injury collision near the intersection of South 9th Street and Sycamore Street.  Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had fully entered a building at this location.  Officers spoke with Holli Plunkett (33) of Buchanan, TN who stated she had been driving the vehicle south on 9th Street towards Sycamore Street.  The driver failed to stop at the intersection and struck the building.  No injuries were reported from the collision. 

On 08/24/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers investigated a report of domestic violence.  Officers responded to the residence where the assault took place, and made contact with Vanessa Nealy, age 30 of Mayfield.  Nealy was placed under arrest, and charged with Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury.  Nealy was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Marshall County.

On Saturday, August 24th, Officers with the Mayfield Police Department responded to an area business to check on a driver suspected of being under the influence. Officers located 35-year-old Johnathan Rodriguez. Rodriguez was found to be under the influence of a substance. Rodriguez was placed under arrest, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. Rodriguez was lodged in the Marshall County Jail, charged with Public Intoxication in a Public Place (excludes alcohol) and Criminal Use of a Noxious Substance. 

On 08/20/2024, Mayfield Police Department Officers served three warrants, out of Calloway County, on Kala Warren, age 37 of Murray, pursuant to a traffic stop.  Warren was placed under arrest, and charged with Failure To Appear on all three warrants, for the underlying charges of two counts of Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Substance 1st Offense, two counts of Resisting Arrest, Failure To or Improper Signal, three counts of Improper Lane Usage, and Criminal Mischief- Residential Rental Property- 1st Offense.

Kala Warren was additionally charged with Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Warren was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Calloway County.

On 08/18/2024, the Mayfield Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision involving injuries at the intersection of State Route 303 and State Route 80. A sport utility vehicle driven by David Sevic II, age 51 of Mayfield, was northbound on 303, when he drove through a red light at the intersection.  His vehicle hit the driver’s side of a semi-truckdriving West on 80 by Keishala Keys, age 35 of Murray, knocking the semi off the roadway, clipping the traffic light support pole, and flipping onto the driver’s side.  Keys was transported by EMS to Jackson Purchase Medical Center, and Sevic II was transported to St. Louis University Hospital by Air Evac for injuries. 

08/17/2024 Officers with the Mayfield Police Department responded to the area of Cuba Road for a reckless driver complaint. While enroute, Officers were advised that the vehicle had pulled into a gas station, and had a minor collision with a concrete pole. Officers arrived on scene, and found that Santos Hernandez Pastor was under the influence of alcohol. Pastor was placed under arrest without incident, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. Pastor was lodged in the Marshall County Jail, charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st (Aggravated), No Operator’s License, and Failure to Wear Seatbelt. 

0/8/16/2024 Richard Cox, age 63 of Hickory KY, was arrested Thursday afternoon by the Mayfield Police Department. Officers with the Mayfield Police Department were called to a local business by witnesses who observed Cox attempting to steal and stealing registration decals off of license plates in the parking lot. Cox was confronted by a witness and fled the scene, but not before the witness could provide vehicle information.

0/8/16/2024 Officers observed the vehicle on US 45 North and conducted a traffic stop. Cox was the passenger of the vehicle and was placed under arrest based on witness statements and video footage from the business. Cox was transported to the Graves County RC Center and then transported to another jail facility. Cox was charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle Registration Plate/Decal and Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle Registration Plate/Decal both felony charges. Devin Newton, age 24 of Rives TN, was arrested Thursday afternoon by the Mayfield Police Department.

0/8/16/2024 An officer with the Mayfield Police Department was investigating a crime that involved Newton and discovered that a Domestic Violence Order existed out of Tennessee with a party involved in the investigation. Based on the Domestic Violence Order, Newton was not to be around the protected party; Newton was found to be in violation of that order. Newton was placed under arrest and transported to the Graves County RC Center and then transported to another jail facility. Newton was charged with Violation of a Foreign Domestic Violence Order.

On August 15, 2024 Kyle Fawver, age 33, of Mayfield, was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant Thursday by the Mayfield Police Department.  Fawver had an active arrest warrant out of Graves County for No Operator’s License. Fawver was transported to the Graves County RC Center, and then transported to another jail facility for housing. 

On 08/11/2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested Gavin Howe, age 19 of Hazel, KY.  During a suspected DUI traffic stop, and after conducting standardized field sobriety tests, it was confirmed that Howe was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.. Howe was taken to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and later transported to McCracken County Jail on the charges of Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Substance (189A.010(1C)-1st, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On August 9, 2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested 31-year-old Jordan Burgie of Mayfield pursuant to a traffic stop.  Burgie was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License.  She was lodged in an out of county jail.

On Wednesday, August 7th , 2024, an Officer with the Mayfield Police Department conducted a traffic stop along East Farthing Street at South 5th Street for a traffic violation. During the stop, it was learned that the driver, 23-year-old John Dale Montgomery, had two active arrest warrants out of Graves County. Montgomery was placed under arrest without incident, and transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center. Montgomery was lodged in Marshall County Jail, charged with the two warrants, both for Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.

On 08/06/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer served an arrest warrant on Hobert Woods, age 26 of Mayfield.  Woods was placed under arrest, and charged with Failure To Appear, for the underlying charges of Operating Vehicle With Expired Operator’s License, No Registration Plates, and Contempt of Court Libel/ Slander Resistance to Order.  Woods was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail.  Woods was able to post bond, and was released.

On 08/06/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer served an arrest warrant on Lizeth Garcia Ruiz, age 18 of Mayfield.  Ruiz was placed under arrest, and charged with Strangulation 1st Degree and Assault 4th Degree (Minor Injury).  Ruiz was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to McCracken County.

On 08/05/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer served an arrest warrant on Michael Christopher, age 43 of Mayfield.  Christopher was placed under arrest, and charged with Failure To Appear, for the underlying charge of Theft By Deception- Include Cold Checks.  Christopher was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Marshall County.

On 08/05/2024, a Mayfield Police Department Officer served an arrest warrant on Ricky Baker, age 48 of Mayfield.  Baker was placed under arrest, and charged with Harassment- Physical Contact- No Injury.  Baker was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center,and turned over to the Graves County Jail for transport to Marshall County.

On 08/04/2024, the Mayfield Police Department arrested Frank Hernandez Perez, age 27 of Mayfield, after Officer’s conducted a traffic stop on suspicion of impaired driving.  Hernandez was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, where he was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol .08 (189A.010(1A)- 1st.
