An investigation is underway in Washington County after a man was found dead near the intersection of E Highway and Highway 47 yesterday. The Washington County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene after a group of people riding ATVs on property owned by Buckman Laboratories found 30-year-old Jarrett Exter of Branson deceased. 32-year-old Alison Skaggs of Iron County and 31-year-old Ryu Fleger of Sullivan were taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Neither have been charged with the death at this time. Sheriff Zach Jacobsen says they are awaiting toxicology results and lab work to identify the cause of death. Exter was released from the Missouri Department of Corrections last week. Jacobsen says Skaggs and Exter were dating, but Exter and Fleger were incarcerated together. The department has refused our request for additional comments at this time.
