CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo (News First) – A Cape Girardeau man was arrested yesterday (Sun, Aug 11th) after allegedly attacking someone with a box cutter-style knife. At around 10 am, The Cape Girardeau Police Department was dispatched to the 900 block of Themis for a disturbance. When they arrived, officers made contact with 63-year-old Christopher Wilson and learned Wilson allegedly attacked a victim who had several lacerations from the knife. The victim refused medical treatment. Upon being processed, officers found a bag of suspected narcotics in Wilson’s possession that later tested positive for Methamphetamine. Wilson was formally charged through the Cape Girardeau Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with a class A felony of assault in the first degree, felony armed criminal action, and a class D felony of delivering or concealing prohibited articles on premises. Wilson is currently behind on a $75 thousand cash-only bond.
