Road could be blocked for up to three months

PADUCAH, Ky.   A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to install a new $7.7 million bridge on KY 402 (Aurora Highway) in Marshall County beginning Tuesday, September 3.

The new structure will replace the Clarks River Bridge, which was constructed in 1933. Demolition and construction are scheduled to last from Sept. 3 through Dec. 1, 2024.

There will be no marked detour.

An average of more than 2,000 cars per day utilize this bridge and roadway.
