ST. LOUIS (News First) – The Jefferson Blue Jays and the Priory Rebels were the final two area teams to play their first football game of the season. The game was played on Saturday (Aug 31st) in St. Louis and the Blue Jays found themselves victorious with a 33-16 road win to open their season. The 1-0 Jefferson Blue Jays will continue playing on the road Friday evening to face the 1-0 Central Rebels who had a 22-13 win on the road this past Friday night against the Owensville Dutchman.
