PADUCAH, Ky – The annual Labor Day Parade, organized by the Western Kentucky Labor Day Committee, will kick off at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2. This year’s theme is “The Struggles of Our Past Create Our Future.”

The parade will start at the intersection of 2nd Street and Broadway, then head west on Broadway before disbanding at Fountain Avenue near 17th Street. The parade route will close in stages starting at 8:30 a.m., with the staging area for entries and surrounding streets shutting down at 6:30 a.m. Streets will remain closed until the parade has safely passed.

Labor Day festivities, featuring food vendors, music, and activities, will continue from 11 a.m. to around 3 p.m. at Carson Park.
