WAYNE COUNTY, Mo (News First) – A Piedmont man received serious injuries after being involved in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Wayne County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash took place on ‘H-H’ Highway, about five miles west of Piedmont when a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by 35-year-old Blake B. Carter of Bismarck ran off the right side of the road, struck several road signs and then a tree. Carter’s passenger, 29-year-old Dustin T. Cole was seriously injured and had to be taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
