AP – Luken Baker singled home the go-ahead run with two outs in the 10th inning to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 3-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night. The Cardinals took 2 of 3 from the NL Central-leading Brewers, with extra-inning victories each of the last two nights. St. Louis won 7-4 in 12 innings  Tuesday night. Cards starting pitcher Sonny Gray allowed just one run in seven innings of work. 

The Redbirds, who are 5 and a half games out of the final wildcard position, are 4-0-1 in their last five series, twice against the Brewers, plus the Yankees, Padres and Twins. St. Louis now returns to Busch Stadium and will begin a 3-game weekend series against the Seattle Mariners starting Friday night.
