STE GENEVIEVE CO, Mo (News First) – A man from Arnold is dead following a one-car crash in Ste. Genevieve County Friday night after being chased by deputies from the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Department. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Keegan P. Schubert was driving west on ‘O’ Highway near Highway 32, between Weingarten and New Offenburg, in a 2013 Chevy Camaro. The crash report says Schubert failed to stop for deputies, his Camaro ran off the road, and struck an embankment and then a tree. Schubert was pronounced dead at the scene. No reason was given in the crash report on why deputies were attempting to get Schubert to stop his car before the crash.
