FARMINGTON, Mo. (News First) – A Missouri driver took the checkered flag and the big payday by winning the 27th Queens Royal at the Farmington Empire Speedway. Luke Turnboough takes a look at the top performers on Saturday night.
Joe B. Miller of Millersville started the 35-lap feature race in 5th for the 410 winged sprint cars. He made his way around the four cars ahead of him and he came out victorious. Rounding out the top 5…Thomas Meseraull of San Jose, California took 2nd, pole sitter Brandon Hanks of Burlison Tennessee ended up 3rd, Brad Bowden from Hernando, Mississippi was 4th and Howard Moore from Memphis was 5th. The top local racer was Jeff Asher of Park Hills who finished in 8th place.
In the A-mod 20-lap feature race, Chasten Boen of Bonne Terre started out in 7th place but he passed the six cars in front of him to take the win. Collin Parmer of Ste. Genevieve, the pole sitter, ended up in 2nd and Ironton’s Kodi Savage took 3rd place.
In the 600cc Outlaw Winged Micro class, Alex Midkiff of Belleville, Illinois took the checkered flag in the 15-lap feature race. He was followed by Fredericktown’s Dane Sensel and Josh Fisher, the pole sitter from Fenton ended up 3rd. Saturday night was also Terry Babb Tribute night at the track.
There are actually six more events on the 2024 schedule at Farmington Empire Speedway. This coming Saturday night, it’s the Double D Motorsports Mega Modified Show, featuring the A-Mods, B-Mods and Mod-Lites.
