CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (News First) – The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks football team improved 2-1 with a double overtime come-from-behind win Saturday night in Cape Girardeau. SEMO downed the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks 45-42 after being down 14 in the 4th quarter. A 37-yard field goal in overtime number two by D.C. Pippin was the clincher for the Redhawks. Southeast Missouri State quarterback Paxton DeLaurent had impressive numbers, completing 34 of 63 passes for 376 yards and 6 touchdowns. 

Receiver Dorian Anderson also shined with 8 catches for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns. SEMO will have a bye week this week and will be back in action on Saturday night, September 21st in Carbondale when they battle the 1-1 Salukis of Southern Illinois. The Salukis will play 1-1 Incarnate Word this Saturday night in Carbondale.
