On Sept. 11, 2024, Brandon Cannon, 40, of Grand Rivers, KY, was apprehended by Livingston County deputies and Kentucky State Police after a single-vehicle collision on Heater Store Road. Cannon fled the scene but was later found at a Coon Chapel Road residence. He faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking, possession of methamphetamine, and several outstanding warrants.

On August 18th, 2024, Deputy Zackary Dunigan of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Lawrence Ellis, 56, outside his residence on Depot Road in Grand Rivers. Ellis, who had an active warrant related to a domestic incident in July 2024, was taken into custody without incident. He is now facing charges including first-degree wanton endangerment, menacing, fourth-degree assault (no visible injury), and third-degree terroristic threatening.

During the course of the arrest, deputies discovered drug paraphernalia containing suspected methamphetamine on the premises. Further investigation led to the arrest of Ryan Ballard, 36, who initially provided false identifying information to the deputies. Ballard was taken into custody and lodged at the McCracken County Jail. He has been charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving false identifying information to an officer. Ballard was also served with three outstanding arrest warrants issued out of McCracken County Circuit Court.

On August 12, 2024, deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 703 Stringtown Road, Grand Rivers. During the operation, authorities discovered approximately 17 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia indicative of illicit drug trafficking, and marijuana.

As a result of the investigation, five individuals were arrested at the scene:

Jesse Maxfield, 43, of Smithland, KY, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Jacob Weaver, 38, of Grand Rivers, KY, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Sydney Gutierrez, 27, of De Land, IL, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Stephen Newton, 34, of Grand Rivers, KY, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Tori Littlepage, 35, of Benton, KY, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Littlepage was also served with an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
