Andre’ Pallente pitched 7 strong innings, allowing just one hit and one run, he struck out 3 and walked 2 in 7 strong innings of work. Lars Nootbaar found home plate to break the 1-all tie after a Cleveland wild pitch. Nolan Arrenado had the other Cardinals RBI, his 70th.
Ryan Helsley recorded his 47th Major League-leading save as he got the final three outs in the 9th.
