VIBURMUM, Mo. (News First) – The first weekend in October means it is Old Miner’s Days weekend in Viburnum. On Saturday morning the 5th, starting at 10, the kids take front and center with the Children’s Parade. Marty Maize is one of the festival organizers. He always enjoys watching this parade.
Then at 1 o’clock on Saturday the 5th, it’s the main parade for Old Miners Days in Viburnum. Marty tells us about this year’s parade grand marshal.
Old Miners Days weekend begins Friday evening, October 4th at 5 at the Viburnum High School gym with the Tiny Tot, Little Miss, Junior Miss and Miss Viburnum pageants. The festival officially opens that Saturday morning at 9 and will continue throughout the day.
