KSP Commissioner Phillip Burnett Jr. praised the troopers’ dedication, saying, “Whether it was a heroic act in the face of danger or a moment of compassion, each of you demonstrated what it means to serve with honor.”

Among the honorees were Detective Jay Dunn, Post 1 Detective of the Year, and Trooper Casey Hamby, Post 1 Trooper of the Year. Post 1 Commander Captain David Archer commended their work, saying, “Their actions build upon the tradition of service for which Post 1 is known.”
